active members of the Board of Trustees. Only threedays before his death he presided at a meetingof the Executive Committee, at which time hewas apparently in his usual good health. At a recent meeting of the Executive Commit-tee of the Board of Trustees the following reso-lution was adopted : The Trustees of the Pennsylvania Museumand School of Industrial Art have learned withdeep sorrow of the death of their fellow member,Cornelius N. Weygandt. Long association with him in all the duties pertaining to hisposition as a member of our Board, and also of its Executive Com-mittee, inspires us, his fellow members, to bear testimony to hiszeal and fidelity in the cause of industrial education. His interest in the School was always of a deep and thoughtfulnature, and we mourn the loss of one whose services and co-opera-tion will be sorely missed at our council table. William Platt Pepper. Mr. William Platt Pepper, for many years Director of theMuseum, died at his home in Philadelphia on April 27, 1907. Bythe death of Mr. Pepper, this Institution has lost one of its mosthelpful and generous supporters. Having been identified with thework of the Museum since its inception, and given largely of histime and strength to bring it to its present high rank among thegreat art institutions of this country, he at all times evinced a mostlively interest in its welfare.
