  8. Horsecrap. The nagnogs didn´t want to leave and they did not want to order anything. Sorry groids…A restaurant on PRIVATE PROPERTY, is not a public park. You cannot do as you wish. The libtards below me have no idea what the laws are. I do. I own my own restaurant.

  9. Simple trespass then refusal to leave. You take a table in a business and don't order anything you could be asked to leave. This type of thing happens all the time but this time it suited someones political agenda (I wonder who?).

  12. If they were asked to leave, but they refused to leave, then the police officers had the right to remove them because they were trespassing.

Also, a store has the right to remove people who are not customers. Those guys didn't buy anything and just sat there, taking up space. Think about the actual paying customers; where they are going to sit if every one just sit at Starbucks without buying anything. Starbucks is not a public park.

  13. Kudos to the philly police for recognizing that a heinous crime was about to be committed, taking the bull by the horns, and committing a heinous crime first! Can't wait till Amazon moves 50,000 off color employees there.

  15. Starbucks generally doesn't let non customers use their bathrooms or sit around using laptops via the free WiFi.

Have seen young white males arrested here in California for the same reason.

BUT…. Starbucks and ALL businesses need to have SIGNS that clearly note 'rest rooms for customers ONLY', 'Only customers can sit at tables using laptops'.

  16. Starbucks, sucks any way make you own damn, coffee, & get a delightful, decorative, hot/cold, cup and save 7-8 bucks, simple. That nasty, beverage, that "they" sell ain't all that, it's just a status, symbol! I bet you as the (consumer), can do better.☺

  18. I wouldn't drink their coffee if they gave it to me free for the rest of my life. It is nothing but over priced secondary coffee no one else will buy so Starbucks pennies on the dollar and flavors it up so these people will pay up to $10 bucks a 10 oz cup for it. Ha. Not me!

  20. a restaurant has the right to ask people to leave who are not buying anything. why is this even a news story , they should have ordered a small coffee or a cookie or something and then waited on their friend. Don't people know the difference between a business and a city park ?

  21. What's along this fuss about? So if you run a business and people show up at your business, taking up seats to do their own business, while not purchasing anything at your business, leaving your customers no place to sit and relax, you're all okay with that?
    Hypocrites.
Businesses are there to make money, not cater to loafers. You want to wait for a friend, fine, order something to sit and wait inside the establishment, otherwise wait outside.
